Valentine’s Day is the PERFECT excuse to show how much you love and care for your significant other – obviously you should be showing your love for them everyday, but it never hurts to celebrate it a little more on Valentine’s Day! There are so many gifts you can buy and so many things you can do for Valentine’s day, but it can be so expensive sometimes! Personally, I would much rather receive gifts that come from the heart rather than the traditional gifts of chocolates and flowers.
Here are a few Gifts From The Heart you can give your loved one on Valentine’s Day:
~ Write Something
This may sound a little corny but I can assure you it will make your loved one feel on another level – spiritually, emotionally and maybe even physically! Write a poem, a song, a letter, a card… write something! You can make it rhyme, make it funny, make it sweet – put your thoughts into words. You can make it extra special by reading it out loud – make sure you pause and make lots of eye contact!
~ Cook Something
You may not be a chef, but I’m sure you can round up something quick you found on Pinterest! The key here is effort – it’s also important knowing what he or she loves and good planning! Prepare some nice drinks – some wine or a cocktail. The main dish should be his or her faourite dish and don’t forget about the dessert! Remember to set the table, add some candles and music to set the mood!
~ Bake Something
Everyone loves some sweets! Take the time to bake something up together – not only will you fulfill your sweet tooth but you may also learn a thing or two! Take a look at Pinterest, you can find a ton of recipes on there!
~ Time Travel
Valentine’s Day may be a day about celebrating the moment, but it is also important to take time to reflect on your relationship! Look through old pictures, videos, cards, anything you can kept over the period of your relationship. You can even take all of these things and crate a scrapbook or virtual diary of your time together!
~ Pamper Him or Her
Prepare a romantic spa evening at home – everyone loves relaxing in the bath tub! Add some bath oil/salts to enhance the bath experience and pair it with your partner’s favourite music. Light some candles to set the mood and grab a drink while you’re at it! This is a great way to show someone you care about them and you can even join in too (if they let you)!
Five sweet and romantic ways to let your loved one know you love them on Valentine’s Day! Don’t let the pressure of Valentine’s Day make you think you have to spend a fortune – there are many things you can do that won’t cost you a penny!
