Ummm.. how is Valentine’s Day 3 days away!?!!
Confession time: I look forward to this time of year every year because my hubby always finds a way to make it extra special for me and it is so sweet! I love seeing what he comes up with, how he puts things together and how he always catches me off guard… (last year he hid in my closet and popped out to scare me as I was admiring all the gifts he laid on my bed)
While gifts are nice to receive, to me, it’s not about the gifts, chocolates or flowers, it’s about the little things – spending time with love and doing something together you both enjoy.
HOWEVER, who doesn’t love to accept a gift? With that being said, I have put together a few items you could gift your significant other and I hope you find some inspiration and/or find exactly what you were looking for!
I love journals like this – not only is it for you to personally reflect and share your thoughts, but it is also for your significant other. Something you can both do everyday for a few minutes and get closer as individuals and as a couple.
Here is another journal you can gift to your significant other – it is designed to be filled out by one partner and given to the other, OR to be explored as a couple. There are many prompts and questions in this guided journal as you write your love story in your own words.
I don’t know about you, but I absolutely HATE being woken up by my or my hubby’s iPhone’s alarm. I like to wake up to soft music, but as much as I try to keep the volume low, or on a radio station I enjoy, I always seem to be woken up frantically and I start my day with my heart pounding out of my chest. This alarm clock is designed to wake you up easily and naturally, with the light gradually increasing in brightness over a 30-minute period before your wakeup time! Check it out for more details!
I gifted this to my hubby this past Christmas and he LOVES it. The sound is amazing and I love how small and portable it is. If your significant other loves listening to music as much as mine does, this is definitely a must have!
Dinner / Movie night at home
This is always a good idea. Less = more. Surprise your man or woman with a cute and cozy night at home with a homemade dinner, or order in from your favourite take out place. Pour some vino and sit back and enjoy simply being together with no distractions! A movie night could also follow the dinner with some of my favourites being: The Notebook, Dirty Dancing, The Wedding Singer, Love Actually, Pretty Woman.
