Hi everyone! HAPPY THURSDAY!
Biotherm sent me their new Skin Oxygen collection, and I have been using them for a few weeks now and they have now taken over my skincare routine!
The Skin Oxygen products are all about defending and repairing the skin from urban damage, which I am sure is what we all need in our lives and for our skin!
Here are some of my thoughts on the Biotherm Skin Oxygen collection!
1. Depolluting Cleanser
I start my routine with the Skin Oxygen Depolluting Cleanser – a little bit of this stuff goes a LONG way.It starts off as a liquid gel but once you mix some water with it, it turns into a foam cleanser.I use this cleanser with my Clarisonic and I absolutely love how clean and fresh my skin feels afterwards!
2. Oxygenating Lotion
This is the toner of the Skin Oxygen range. I use about two to three pumps of this on a cotton pad and spread it across my face – specifically my T-zone. This toner has a very refreshing smell – it feels like you are putting tea tree on your skin! I really love the scent of it and I do believe it is helping my pores.
3. Antioxidant Serum
This is the third step in my routine. Again, this product feels SO nice on the face and it is supposed to strengthen the skin, repair damage and help fight the look of premature signs of aging. I’m in my mid-twenties… so anything that combats premature aging sounds like a winner to me!
4. Cooling Gel
Lastly, this oil-free cooling gel continues to provide a nice cooling effect on the skin. This gel is supposed to reinforce the skin barrier, moisturize stressed skin, help reduce sebum and avoid pollution particles adherence. It protects your skin, makes it look more radiant, and helps it breathe all day long. I like using this gel at night, but I’m not crazy about using it in the morning, especially under my makeup!
The superstar and key ingredient to the new Skin Oxygen range is chlorella. Chlorella is an algae that can be found in fresh water. Chlorella is already available for consumption in the form of powder or capsules – many healthy foodies mix it in their smoothies. It does wonders for your health and skin!
As I previously mentioned, I am in-love with the cooling sensation and the scent of all these products! Biotherm says it’s inspired by mountain lakes; they’ve mixed citrus, white tea and flower essences to become this rather “green” and modern scent. It is such a nice way to end your day and amazing to wake up to this fresh scent!
