Happy Sunday everyone!
As I mentioned in my last Instagram post, I have a few more blog posts to share about my Bridal Shower and this is a post I have been getting a lot of questions about… so I hope this helps/gives you all some inspiration!
(If you’re not following me on Instagram @nicolevaidosa , I would love it if you could! I always follow back!!!)
Personally, I wish I came across a post like this before my shower because while there are so many ideas and photos on Pinterest that you can find, there really isn’t many “real” Bridal Shower photos you come across and it was hard to duplicate things that I really liked on Pinterest as I couldn’t find the exact materials/objects that I needed (or it was super expensive)!
This post will have all the details of my prizes and the games I decided to host/play with my guests at my Bridal Shower and I hope my ideas and pictures can provide you with some inspiration for yours! If you do use any of my ideas, please let me know!! I would LOVE to see how you did it!
Starting off with my games on my receiving table games…
This is a super easy, super fun Bridal Shower game and there are so many variations of it! I decided to use the traditional milk chocolate hershey kisses… because I mean, who doesn’t like some kisses?!
All I needed for this game was a jar, a bunch of hershey kisses and a few sheets for guests to guess how many are in the jar!
The person who got the closest guess to the actual answer, won the jar with all the hershey kisses inside!
The “Guess the Bride’s Age” was a game I really wanted to have at my Bridal Shower. I just think it is such a cute game and it’s interesting to see everyone’s guesses!
All you need for this is a nice frame (or board) with a few photos of yourself at different ages and some game sheets your guests can write on!
With this game, I thought I would end up with more than one winner, so I decided to give a prize (wine bottle) to the top 6 winners!
My third game was a “Would She Rather” game sheet. All my guests received one of these sheets as they came in and were asked to fill them out at their tables and hand them in when done. This game is also pretty self-explanatory… there are two options, which would the bride choose? Again, it was pretty funny to see some of the guesses and even funnier to see the guests’ reactions when I announced the answers as some people thought it was so easy and knew me so well!
The winner of this game won a cute little jewelry box with two Alex & Ani bracelets and some Kate Spade earrings!
My last game was the table game and I decided to make it easy and do the “Guess Who: Bride or Groom?” – again, very self-explanatory, there are two options/phrases and each table need to work together to choose the correct answer! Later on when my fiancé came in, we shared the answers using the lip and moustache props that were on their game sheets. It was honestly so fun to share the answers together, and it was a great way to get my guests engaged and get some laughs!
Here is what my table game sheets looked like:
After the games comes the prizes… this may be a little shocker to some of you (maybe not), but not only did I have prizes for the game winners, but I also had to provide my guests with another set prizes they could win, sort of like a raffle draw. I am marrying into a Croatian family and this is one of the things they like to do at their Bridal Showers, so this is something I had to incorporate and adapt into mine.
With every basket/prize, I added a little “Nicole” into it by incorporating a question that my guests had to answer on their tickets in order to win… it was just a little fun, interactive game to engage my guests and I feel like everyone really enjoyed it!
I had 5 basket prizes and 5 other prizes (not in baskets):
- Lindt Chocolate on a tray
- Kate Spade purse
- Tea Pot Set and Tray
- Aldo Backpack and Clutch
- Michael Kors Wallet
- Starbucks Basket
- The Body Shop Basket
- Sephora Basket
- Spa Basket
- Wine Basket
These prizes were the table game prizes that each guest at the table won! Each guest won a small serving tray with two cute floral mugs – it was such an easy prize to put together and they looked so pretty!
The last prize I had were my centrepieces and my question for that was:
“The person who wins the centrepiece is whoever is closest to Nicole’s age”
So there you have it! Those were all my Bridal Shower games and prizes! I hope this helped you in one way or another, whether you are planning your own Bridal Shower or you are planning someone else’s Bridal Shower… or just planning an event in general!
This is just what I did at my Bridal Shower and there is no right or wrong way to do things, so don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!! Do what you like and what you love because in the end, this is your day, your event and ultimately, your life and decision!
Are you planning your wedding/Bridal Shower right now?! I would love love love to hear from you all, so leave me a comment down below!
